Service Department Manager


As Visions continues to grow, we are looking for a Service Department Manager. The new Service Manager will lead an established coffee equipment service department of full-time Service Technicians while overseeing the Parts Department, Service Office and all key accounts.

 

The right candidate will have experience leading a team of technicians and motivate our team to perform at a consistent level. It will be key to encourage skill development, lead by example and support the tech team in their complex schedules. The Service Manager must display grace under pressure, attention to detail and exemplary customer service skills. The ideal candidate must also have excellent follow-through on all Service Department commitments. In the absence of coffee equipment-specific technical experience, the right candidate will have extensive background managing a Service Department in a similar field... these industries could be automotive, plumbing, electrical, construction, aeronautics or related.

 

Our techs cover Washington State with emergency and scheduled service support. In addition, our service department has a full in-house repair schedule and partners with manufacturers to grow our company’s reputation for quality technical support and customer service.

 

- The Service Manager acts as primary contact and facilitator for corporate and key accounts, in addition to complex scheduling, service contract negotiation and administrative management. Scheduling is handled via paperless dispatching software (Field Service) and managed in collaboration with our Service Department Coordinator.


- The Service Manager will be responsible for managing all service work performed by reviewing and approving service invoices and “work-done” descriptions. A focus on coaching technicians as appropriate toward success based on company goals will be key.

 

- The Service Manager will be responsible for managing the tech team’s productivity, efficiency, and quality of service. Handling annual reviews and seamlessly meshing with our long-term established staff will be be critical.

 

- The Service Manager will partner with the Sales & Marketing Departments to sell service, preventative maintenance, filtration programs, equipment, accessories and schedule installs of new equipment.

 

- The Service Manager is responsible for growing sales within the Service Department through increased market share, maximized service opportunities and furthering equipment vendor (third party dispatch) relationships. Overall sales growth should meet or exceed predetermined goals. Department results will be used to calculate a year-end performance incentive plan.

 

- The Service Manager position is a salaried full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8am - 5pm, or a similar schedule with varying start and end times depending on department needs.
